StoryHeights Church would like to meet the needs of the people of Boston that have been affected by the tragedy that took place at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Many of you have expressed a wish to help those affected. If you would like to make a monetary donation it can be done here:
If you would like to donate your time or other services we will be mobilizing the church community and finding out where our resources are most needed. If you are in need or know someone who is in need of anything, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would love to serve you in any way possible.
We will never manipulate you to give at StoryHeights Church, but we do believe in putting God first in every area of our lives, including our finances.
The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God and He will bless the rest (Leviticus 27:30 NIV84, Deuteronomy 14:23 TLB). This first is the tithe, or “tenth” of our income. We return to the Lord 10% of what He’s given us, because it belongs to Him. The tithe is a very practical and tangible way to put God first.
If you are not tithing already, we challenge you to ask God to stir you to begin giving back to Him what He’s entrusted you with.
(Please note that all financial gifts are tax deductible.)
When God stirs you to give beyond your tithe, that’s referred to as an offering. You can direct your offering to the cause that resonates with you. In addition to our general usage, you can select from Church Planting and Compassion and Outreach causes.
StoryHeights Church was planted and is supported by an association known as, The Association of Related Churches (ARC). It is an association of relational churches working with church planters, church leaders, and churches in transition to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life-giving churches. StoryHeights gives a portion of our budget to partner with ARC to plant more life-giving churches all around the US and the globe.
When confronted with the horrific statistics surrounding human trafficking, it is easy to agree on the fact that “someone should do something.” The A21 Campaign was born when the decision was made to raise our hand, and be that “someone.” It was a decision of ordinary people who decided to take responsibility regarding the issue of human trafficking. So with little knowledge, and a lot of passion, in 2007 we set out to make a difference.
StoryHeights gives a portion of our offering budget to partner with the A21Campaign to help abolish slavery in the 21st century. Our hope one day is to provide hope to those caught up in the bonds of human trafficking right here in Boston by opening a safe home. But until we are able to do so as a church, we will raise our hand and take a stand by resourcing this great organization who are fighting daily to rescue those God loves so much.
We believe in reaching our own orphans, widows, broken, poor, hurting, homeless, and needy every day right here in our own community. It’s our heart to never turn away anyone in need. Our hope one day is to provide a 24-hour outreach center in the heart of Boston for people to come and receive free food, supplies, clothes, counseling, medical attention and care. Whatever the need, we want to meet it.
A portion of your offering, goes to reaching people right here in our community through our Servolution Saturdays and other outreach projects.
We’re so honored and grateful for our partners who make Story Heights Church possible by their financial contributions. We can assure you that every penny is being stewarded in a way that honors your sacrifice and the Lord. All donations are tax-deductible, and we will send out giving statements as well as a financial report at the end of the year. If you’d like to mail in a donation you can do so by sending a check or money order to:
